Renee Tobit is a jockey/exercise girl on
the thoroughbred racetrack and has had a love of horses
since early childhood. Her art is in many mediums, oil,
acrylic, wood buring and painting on glass to name a few.
Her paintings give life to the beauty of horses and a close
up of the strength and stamina they use.
Renee received her B.A. in Studio Art at William Woods University
in Missouri. Having worked around the sport of horse racing
and horses in general, Renee has intimate knowledge of details
about the sport such as muscle confirmation,
tack and rider position and gear they are wearing.
Renee states that she likes everything to be accurate so
that any person that works in the sport can look at it and
notice the rubber on the reins, the tongue tie on the horse
or that the rider is wearing several pairs of goggles like
they
do in a race.
