Pat Walker-Fields is an award winning Southern artist. Pat has gained a reputation as one of the most gifted and exciting Southern painters working today. Whatever the subject, her work lifts the painting into the poetic realm. The use of light and the feel of mystery gives Walker's work a most distinctive quality. Pat's emotional brushwork makes you, the viewer, aware that she holds nothing back.
Pat is a member of Oil Painters of American OPA are advocates for Representational Art. She is a proud member of this very important organization. Pat was recently selected as the blue ribbon winner for PBS and will be honored by PBS television with a video of her studio, artwork and style of painting. Sponsored by WYES Public Broadcasting Station of New Orleans, Louisiana. The video will be aired on PBS in the Spring of 2005.
Pat lives in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi with her husband James Fields. Her Studio is called, "Turning Leaf Lodge" and is located in Long Beach, Mississippi. Pat teaches workshops at her studio and offers other master instructions.
