Marjorie Stone

Marjorie Stone is a native of North Little Rock, AR. She is a member of the Arkansas League of Artists and the Saline County Art Guild. Marjorie has studied with Janie Crain and Blanche Lenon and has participated in workshops with local and nationally known artists including Stanley Rames, Bob Rohm and Ovita Goolsby.

Marjorie has participated in local and regional art shows with many solo exhibitions and has won many awards. Marjorie's paintings are found inpersonal collections in the United States, Great Britain and Germany.

Marjorie's large works are of abstracts and still life. Her minatures in oil are original art done in small scale and are featured at Gallery Central.

Oil is her favorite medium, although she occastionally paints in other mediums. She says, "Painting is a wonderful, expressive outlet. When I am at my easel, the world disappears and I live in that peaceful place created on canvas. My work leans toward realism but I want to explore other

avenues of art and continue to grow."
