LINDA PALMER
Working with prismacolor
pencils, oils and watercolors, Linda Palmer brings sensibility to her work
that results in powerful abstract compositions based upon elements of
nature.
“The diversity in nature, unusual land configurations, weather variations,
subtle color and value changes, the many abstract elements, and most
importantly the emotional response to a particular place are the
inspiration for my work.”
Palmer’s landscapes and “treescapes” have been featured in a host of
universities, galleries and art centers throughout the world. Her work was
included in a two-year touring exhibit featuring Arkansas artists in
Germany, the first exhibit of Arkansas artists to tour in a European
country. Palmer’s work has also been honored with inclusion in Delta
Exhibits, the Berol Prismacolor Art Gallery National Invitational,
Celebrating Arkansas Artists in Washington, D.C. and the Arkansas Artists’
Presidential Inauguration Exhibit in Washington, D.C. Her drawings and
paintings have been included in many private and corporate collections
including: Phillips Petroleum Company, Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co.;
Worthen Bank & Trust of Oklahoma; Baptist Hospital in Little Rock; Hendrix
College; Fort Smith Art Center; Fort Smith Convention Center, and others.
