A captain
in the Little Rock Fire Department as well as a professional
artist and teacher, McCann’s subject matter tends to be
as varied as his life – ranging from landscapes to detailed
depictions of everyday life and family activities. His work
has been accepted to juried exhibitions across the region
and nation, where he has won over 35 awards.
McCann’s
work can also be found in over 80 private and corporate
collections, including the permanent collection at the Winthrop
Rockefeller Institute. For the last two years, jurors at
the Rockefeller Institute’s annual Arts in the Air Professional
Art Exhibit and Sale have selected one of McCann’s pieces
as the show’s purchase prize.
Dennis
McCann is as passionate about teaching as he is about his
roles as a professional artist and firefighter. His enthusiastic
teaching style ignites his students, providing the necessary
spark for a truly rewarding learning experience.
