Carol Roberts grew up in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
She has lived in a number of different states since leaving
North Carolina, as well as living in Mexico for several
years in the late 90's. She currently lives in Fayetteville,
Arkansas with her husband where she paints full time. Carol
was always interested in art and drew constantly as a child.
However, she did not seriously pursue her interest in art
until her two sons were in school. Since that time, she
has attended numerous workshops and classes in order to
improve her painting skills. Although she began painting
in watercolor, she now paints almost exclusively in oil.
She is a signature member of the Mid-Southern Watercolor
Society, the Artists of Northwest Arkansas and an associate
member of the Oil Painters of America. Some of the recent
exhibits she has participated in include the Greenhouse
Gallery's Salon International 2005, 2006 and 2007; the Salmagundi
Club National Juried Exhibition, the 2005 Catherine Lorillard
Wolfe 109th Annual Open Juried Exhibition, 2005 Arts for
the Parks Mini 100, the 2006 Oil Painters of America National
Juried Exhibition, the 2006 American Impressionist Society
Annual Juried Exhibition, and American Art in Miniature
at the Gilcrease Museum, 2006 and 2007. In addition, her
work has recently been included in the Best of America,
Oil Artists and Artisans, Volume 1.
